Aromafires Safety Instructions
Table of Contents
Always follow our safe use instructions and if you have more specific questions or need further information, feel free to ask!
- Aromafire is a real flame fire and gets hot! 100% of the heat generated goes into your room and not wasted into a chimney or flue.
- Never allow young children to play around a lit fire.
- Always ensure Aromafire is placed on a flat stable surface at least one metre away from any flammable materials including wall coverings. The bottom of the fire base will stay cool.
- Ensure there is no danger from curtains being blown towards a lit fire.
- Never move the fire whilst lit and always allow the fire to cool down for at least 5 minutes before moving it.
- Never attempt to re fill the fuel cup when lit.
- Always allow the fire to cool for 5 minutes before re filling the fuel cup. Use the hook end of the hook and dowsing tool to lift out the fuel cup and place it on the round silicone matt provided with your Aromafire to protect surfaces.
- Never leave a lit fire unattended.
- Aromafire is fully portable and is great for use indoors and outdoors. Always follow the above instructions when moving and relaxing around Aromafires.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
- Remove top round foam pads and place on a tabletop.
- Remove the vertical foam blocks and place the borosilicate glass tube on a round foam pad.
- Remove all other packages including the long USB rechargeable electric arc lighter and place on the tabletop.
- Place the pre-assembled wood and stainless-steel fire base on a flat stable surface.
- If required clean the glass tube with glass cleaner to remove any packaging marks and place gently on to the fire base inside the stainless-steel top plate.
- Place the stainless-steel fuel cup into the centre of the pebble retention collar.
- In the larger linen bag, you will find large, polished river stones. Spread these around evenly between the inside of the glass tube and the central fuel cup holder.
- In a smaller linen bag, you will find small, polished river stones. Spread these evenly over the top of the large stones and pat them down gently keeping the stones below the top of the central fuel cup holder.
LIGHTING INSTRUCTIONS
- Remove the fuel cup from the fire using the hook end of the double ended hook and flame dowsing tool. Place the fuel cup on the round silicone heat protection matt provided with your Aromafire.
- Read and adhere to all the safety instructions on the EKOFUEL bottle.
- Open the safety screw cap on your EKOFUEL bottle. We find it easier to push down on the cap and turn the bottle, holding it near the neck and remove the safety screwcap.
- Gently squeeze the EKOFUEL fuel bottle when filling the fuel cup. Fill the fuel cup to just below the start of the curved internal shoulder line and replace the safety cap securely on the EKOFUEL bottle. Place the fuel bottle in a safe place away from any potential sources of heat.
- One full fuel cup will provide around 70 minutes of burn time.
- Carefully replace the filled stainless steel fuel cup back into the central collar using the hook tool provided. Your Aromafire is now ready for lighting subject to following all the Aromafire Safety Instructions.
- Switch the long black lighting tool ON by sliding the black on / off switch forward towards the tip of the lighting tool. The light will come on.
- Place the tip of the lighter close to the surface of the fuel and press the start button to light the fuel. Switch the lighter Off by sliding back the black ON/Off switch (The light will go out)
- Recharge the electric arc lighter using the small micro / USB charging lead provided with your fire as and when necessary.
DOWSING THE FLAME
If you wish to dowse the flame before it has burnt out simply place the double ended dowsing tool centrally over the flame and lower on to the fuel cup.
The flame will go out almost immediately. Leave the tool in place on top of the fuel cup and this will stop the fuel evaporating off.
OR just leave the flame burning until it runs out of EKOFUEL.
When you wish to re light your Aromafire just follow the Lighting Instructions above.
SOY WAX AROMA MELTS
Simply add your favourite Aroma soy wax melt intothe small double walled quartz glass cups provided with your Aromafire.
Place the melt cup into the stainless-steel cup holder and clip it onto the top rim of the glass tube so that the melt is on the inside of the glass, closest to the flame.
Once fully melted simply lift the cup holder off and replace it back on to the top rim but this time with the melt on the outside of the glass further away from the direct flame to stop the melt overheating.
When you require additional aroma in your room, you can simply switch the position of the melt cup from outside the glass tube back to the inside position.
If you want to remove the melt completely just lift it off and place it onto the silicone matt provided whilst it cools down.
When you wish to change the aroma melt, simply allow the melt to cool and float the small cup in a glass of hot water. This will release the melt from the glass cup, and you can simply slide the melt into a waste bin and add a new melt. The melt cup can be cleaned on a hot wash in a dishwasher.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Glass Tube
After every two ouses, simply leave the glass tube in place, hold it downwards securely with one hand and use a glass cleaner (Pink works well) and microfibre cloth to wipe around the inside and outside of the glass. Keeping the glass tube clean will enhance the reflections of the flame around the glass when lit.
Stainless Steel Components
Occasionally, stainless steel components will need a clean. These can either be popped into a dishwasher or use some washing up liquid and a stiff brush.
To clean your Aromafires stainless steel base and top ring, we find that just a small amount of WD40 on a clean cloth is all that you need.
Solid Wood Fire Base
The solid wood bases are hand finished in our workshops and sealed with hard wax oil before assembly and despatch. This durable finish should last for many years.
If at any time in the future you wish to refinish and add additional protection to the solid wood base, lightly rub down the visible wood surface with a fine sandpaper and wipe a light coat of clear matt Osmo Oil or Furniture Beeswax to the solid wood base component. Avoid furniture polishes or sprays that contain silicones.
